Rain trapped within plastic transportation wrapping. I found this in the garden center on the edge of a big box store’s parking lot. I think I was originally intrigued by the bold yellow of the wrapping, but had no idea what I was looking for or hoped to render. After setting up my tripod and looking through the viewfinder, I felt like I could’ve watched this imaginative scene for the rest of the day.
I took two frames and made a hasty exit, but find excitement in the ephemeral nature of those shots even now. Had I waited an hour longer or arrived the next day, the trapped water may have presented an entirely different scene, or may have been lost entirely.
