A lovely pond in early April 2016, found alongside a highway in northern Wisconsin while driving back from Bayfield.
I wish I could remember the name of the small town that this pond was outside of, but all that surfaces is that the town was very close to the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Regardless, it’s hard to forget the calm air and warm sunlight – so greatly welcome after bitter cold and heavy snow – of this peaceful scene
