Numerous footprints leading to a snowy oak grove, found at the Walking Iron County Wildlife Area of Mazomanie, WI, USA.
I came upon this scene while on a solo hike, and set up my gear before stepping upon the tracks. I saw no one else throughout my outing, but it was a delight to recognize a path so well marked even in harsher conditions. Seeing how much company the magnificent oaks were given was just as wonderful.
