Geese resting in the idyllic sunlight of an early-November day, found near the Wisconsin River.
Random members of this flock would stand and briefly flap their wings, which made for a fair amount of waiting in the surprisingly lovely conditions of the day. Time can sometimes drag on while waiting for the perfect frame, but this flock was a joy to observe. I repositioned myself and cautiously approached, and the group began to withdraw in unison. Amused and appreciative, I left them to their rest.
