A forest at sunset shortly after a tornado. Many trees lie fallen or cut to pieces.

Days-old aftermath of a tornado, found in Governor Dodge State Park, in Dodgeville, WI. An eerie silence took these hills. Wind held a solemn stillness – forest creatures mourned unseen. The two other hikers I came across were friendly, but spared no time vacating the area.

With utmost respect, I took this shot and left. Night approached, and those standing had to see their brethren off safely.
